Institute Pasteur of Shanghai (IPS) is an an independent research institution jointly established by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and France Pasteur Institute. By focusing on key scientific issues such as pathogenic mechanisms of major infectious diseases, immune protection and pathological rules, IPS carries out basic and transformational researches to serve for the global infectious disease control needs and public health.
IPS, equipped with an advanced research platform and technical system with complete scientific research layout,including pathogenic microbiology, immunology, vaccinology, intestinal microecology and health, pathogen discovery and epidemic prediction technology based on big data. At the same time, based on the global network of Pasteur, IPS has exclusive global resources to satisfy the tropical diseases research, which is also close up the major infectious diseases outbreak of hot spots, covering Maritime Silk Road. IPS has also actively and effectively carried out international scientific and technological cooperation with countries along the "One Belt And One Road" routes for the prevention and control of infectious diseases. In case, IPS has been an important force in China active in the field of global infectious disease prevention and control. IPS is the chairman unit of the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN) in Asia Pacific, which covers 26 countries and regions on 5 continents. The Pasteur Institute is a non-governmental member of the World Health Assembly and an important scientific and technological force in the global public health system.

1. Field of Vacancy
a. IPS is seeking outstanding scientists for the positions of Senior Professor and Principal Investigator in Pathogen Microbiology and Vaccine/Antibody Engineering, etc
2. Talent Acquisition
a. Senior Professor
-Have the experience of serving as an associate professor or above and equivalent positions in well-known universities, scientific research institutions or companies. -Have deep academic attainments in the subject field and ability to accurately grasp disciplinary dynamics and development directions.
- Have a wide range of international academic influence, and are generally recognized by international counterparts.
-Have achieved significant results or overcome key core technical problems.
-Have leading talents, can train young talents, and support the construction of corresponding disciplines.
b. Principal Investigator
-Have a doctorate degree, and have more than 3 consecutive years of postdoctoral or equivalent technical research and development experience in well-known scientific research institutions, universities or enterprises.
-Have experience in leading innovation activities and excellent academic communication skills.
-Possess advanced and key core technologies, as well as products or achievements with independent intellectual property rights.
-Possess excellent technological innovation potential and teamwork leadership ability.

3. Introduction Procedure

1) Qualification review:
After receiving the applicant’s resume, the Institute will organize relevant personnel to conduct a preliminary review of the qualifications;
2) Material review:
After the preliminary review, we will organize experts in the institute to review the applicant's materials;
3）Review of defense:
The institute organizes experts inside and outside the institute to conduct a defense review of the applicant;
After passing the defense, the institute will refer to the review opinions of the expert group and give the final decision on whether to hire.
